I've never photographed something dead before, but I felt horrible doing it. I kinda got to thinking about 'stealing the soul' of something with my camera and although I've always thought of that as crap, it gave me the shivers to capture this poor little dove.
I cried so hard that day, all day. Burrying it was the sadest thing ever to do. Now I never see the doves out front anymore. Although it sounds creepy, I hope you appreciate this picture the same way I do. I wanted to capture its last moment of lifelessness and naturality.  |
